Job Description
Position Description:
To Prepare technical document and specification of construction chemicals for construction projects; to engage in product development and differentiation and to extend technical support service to clients and stake holders.
Major Duties
- To prepare documents such as Product Data Sheet (PDS), method statement, technical proposals, etc.
- To perform continuous specification selling to key consultants/key specifiers.
- To be informed regarding new key projects and identify all the stakeholder and initiate from the very beginning to incorporate Sika products in the specifications.
- To handle all kind of communications in relation to technical specification of products and product development
- To provide technical support to customers and make project site visit accompanying with the sales engineers and sales manager.
- To organize trainings to customers on products and systems including their specific application procedures
- To expand the product range by closely monitoring market trend through market surveys and product analysis
- To maintain and increasing business relationships with existing customers by giving all the necessary technical support
- To prepare annual, semi-annual and monthly reviews of PDS as per the group policy and systems
- To support the sales team in all aspects pursuant to product technical specifications
- Work closely with the R&D team on the product development stage as well as benchmarking or comparison test.
- To work closely with sales team specially in key projects to ensure cross selling.
Technical
- To keep current with all the new product information.
- To have an in-depth technical knowledge of all the Sika products.
- To write and submit specifications for Product applications where required.
- Training of customers to extend their knowledge of Sika products and usage
Workstation: Company Factory Location - Oromia Regional State, Sebeta town Administration, Wolete and Partially head office.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with four (4) years of relevant work experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with six (6) years of relevant work experience
- Experience in construction chemicals manufacturing industry is desirable
- Experience in a technical document and specification preparation for construction projects specifically related to construction chemicals is desirable
- Experience in product development and differentiation is desirable.
