ASDEPO is a humanitarian, Civil Society Organization founded in 2014 that works in all regions of Ethiopia. ASDEPO fulfills its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations, including refugees, internally displaced people and host communities. Under its mandate, the organization focuses on emergency humanitarian response, rehabilitation and post-conflict recovery.

For this reason ASDEPO is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the following positions

Job Description

• The primary function of MHPSS Counselor is to assist the GBV with the integration of mental health and psychosocial support in to the health care.
• The MHPSS Counselor’s primary responsibilities are overseen of the psychosocial components of the mental health and psychosocial program and implementing counseling services to the community we are serving

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Psychology or related field with at least 3 years of counseling and social work experience
• At least 2 years of mental health and psychosocial programming experience in depth knowledge and experience of mental health and psychosocial programming in the humanitarian context essential.
• Familiarity with IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support In Emergency Settings
• Training experience required on Proven counseling skill
• Strong organizational and supervisory, Strong writing and reporting skills
• Ability to work within a team structure or in isolation, flexible, and can cope with stressful workloads and working with limited resources Honest, hardworking and a self-motivated person
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within different cultural environments
• Ability to travel on short notice to project sites
• Excellent English verbal and written skills
• Knowledge of local language is mandatory
