Hope Enterprises, which was established in 1971 as a pioneering national NGO, has been serving the needy through transformational investment operating seven projects and a university college in six regional states. HOPE is involved in holistic human development with concrete interventions by ways of basic care, education, vocational training, job, and business mediation, and values development. The Organization is looking for a qualified person who is able to build on what has already been achieved.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the goal and objectives of the organization
- Ensure the program activities comply with all donor's requirements, government regulations, and professional standards
- Provide special attention to the sponsorship program and ensure that communication between the student and their sponsors are timely
- Write periodic reports in English and Submitted timely
- Ensure that the programs operate within the approved budge
- Conduct performance appraisal of all staff as per the manual of the organization
- Implement and ensure the HR, Financial, program, and purchasing policies, procedures, and practices of the organization
- Undertake and maintain statistical records to document program activities
- Identify and evaluate the risk associated with the program activities and take proactive action and minimize risk
- Demonstrable passion to serve the poor and exemplary standing in integrity
- Strengthen teamwork, people management, and staff training
- Ensure that all financial transaction for the program is up to date and well communicated within and across the Hope finance office
- Coordinate, lead, facilitate or participate in supervision evaluation and survey to ensure service quality
- Develop an annual operating and financial plan
- Ensure the organization code of ethics is communicated to all staff members and uphold the standards established
- Supervise program staff with the purpose of enhancing staff capacity by providing direction, input, and constructive feedback
- Play the required role in presenting the project area
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Educational Leadership, Management, Project Management, Economics or related field of study
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Fluency in spoken and written Afan Oromo, Amharic, and English
