Job Description

Premier Switch Solutions S.C. (PSS) is a leading Electronic Payment Processing Company, established by major private banks of Ethiopia. The Company has implemented the first multi-institution shared-switch infrastructure to provide its member banks with a state of the art payment technology to drive ATM, POS, e-commerce, Mobile Banking and other payment channels and provide clearing of Debit/Credit card transactions for the banks. 

Currently, PSS has two vacant positions stated below and would like to invite applicants who meet the qualification and required experience listed for these job openings. 

Description of Duties

  • Develop and implement the hardware and software support strategy.
  • Develop and implement policy and procedure for the hardware and software support service.
  • Lead the hardware and software team’s support activities and communicate with internal and external customers in regard to their support requests.
  • Lead ATM installation and deployment, ATM relocation/update, POS installation and deployment.
  • Coordinate the provision of first line and second line support for IT infrastructure.
  • Plan and coordinate implementation of preventive maintenance
  • Regularly maintain the card production hardware and software platform including card personalization machines and PIN printers.
  • Ensure support and maintenance of office machines such as computers, printers, scanners, fax, etc are provided to users.
  • Establish partnership with potential suppliers for items such as POS, ATM, servers, etc.
  • Manage electronic journals and logs from ATM terminals.
  • Prepare specification, RFP and RFP response documents in the supply chain management processes.
  • Recommend payment approval for payment requests related to ATM, card personalization machine and any other hardware and software items.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports
  • Work with different work units in the group in the supply chain processes
  • Provide after sales support
  • Manage the stock of relevant spare parts and the reorder level
  • Communicate with external vendors to solve any technical hardware and software support issue.
  • Build knowledge base from different issues observed in support services.
  • Provide training on hardware and software maintenance to end users.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized institution
  • At least eight years relevant experience
  • Training in A+ (CompTIA) is preferable
  • Professional certification is advantageous
