Job specific roles and responsibilities

• Assesses the need for programs and projects in relation to automation and plans accordingly to implement affordable and better solutions;
• Prepare strategy for implementation of automation of projects.
• In collaboration with programs, develop requirement analysis documents and provide recommendations on the implementation scheme;
• Follow the current technological advancements and evaluate if can be adopted for the benefit of the organization in bringing change to the program implementations.
• Collaborate with other industry players in experience sharing and working together for better goal setting.
• Conduct market assessment for the availability of technology providers that can enable Save the Children to collaborate the adoption of useful technologies.
• Updates the users with changes and current IT systems, and provides technical support and training to the IT users of the organization;
• Conducts research in variety of technology related topics, as needed, and develops related summaries and reference materials;
• Ensures the proper functioning of the servers on which applications are running and conducts pre- and post-tests of servers;
• With the coordination of other team members, ensures the smooth functioning of internet for the users who operate on web based systems;
• Conducts performance appraisal of the staff under his/her supervision;
• Prepares periodic reports;

Child Safeguarding Responsibilities

• Ensure all digital solutions adopted in Save the Children are aligned with the child safeguarding policy and local procedures.

MINIMUM QUALFICATION, EXPEREINCE, COMPETENCIES

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• Database Management System and Programming
• Certification in Mobile based application development

EXPEREINCE

• 8 Years, out of which 4 years should be, related to supervising and coordinating information systems that are recent technological applications.
• Able to provide experience in any kind of mobile based application development project that is currently in use.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Problem solving skill
• Having excellent experience system requirement study, development and system implementation.
• Having proven knowledge programming;
• Development knowledge in the area of mobile applications
• Good knowledge on SharePoint
• Having excellent proficiency in spoken and written English with strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in team situations;
• Have commitment to work longer hours/weekends or on remote field visits whenever needed.
