Job Description
Lead the Public Engagement unit, consisting of social media, digital and web, media relations, and events and campaigns specialists, ensuring our audiences engage in our mission and the issues we raise through compelling and aligned campaigns, thought leadership, digital channels, partnerships and media. Reporting to the Communications & Marketing Director, create new opportunities for the public to engage with World Vision with timely and strategic communications content grows website and digital traffic, increasing World Vision's social community. Ensuring strategic media outreach and public engagement increases coverage of issues World Vision cares about and builds visibility and reputation, positioning World Vision as a trusted partner.
Major Responsibilities;
Professional certifications in any of the technical areas of communications or marketing
Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement; Working primarily in the head office in Addis Ababa, semi-regular travel locally and internationally will be required.
Physical Requirements; Travel by road, flexibility with accommodation and dietary arrangements. Ability to partake in on-location production or live events.
Language Requirements; Fluency: Amharic is required
Working knowledge: professional English language required Other local languages are beneficial
Duty Station; Addis Ababa
Duration of the contract; for an indefinite contract period
