Job Description

Kegna Beverages S.C is a beverages Manufacturing Industry officially established by shareholders on April 1, 2017. The beverage green field project is located in Oromia regional state in west Shewa zone nearest to Ginchi town while the project office is located at Elilly International Hotel new building 10th floor Kazanchis, Addis Ababa. The company will engage in producing quality alcoholic & non- alcoholic beer brands which inspire human beings in the first phase and also have 2nd phase expansion plan to produce carbonated water, Juices and other portfolios. Hence, Kegna Beverages SC would like to invite competent and qualified candidates to apply for the following positions to be hired on permanent basis:

Position Summary: : To assist the company with all transport-related duties such as transport products, materials, equipment, and company staff to and from specified locations. The Driver Purchaser is also responsible to facilitate and handle petty purchases of the company as per the delegation thereon.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Give transportation service for company staff and transport various products and materials to and from specified locations on time.
  • Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in the safe and permitted parking area.
  • Maintaining vehicle hygiene, checking all relevant equipment and keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Conduct day to day maintenance checks on the vehicle such as: checking oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres, light, indicators, and other accessories, including performance of minor repairs.
  • Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings.
  • Drive safely at all times and observe traffic rules, keeps records of trips and fueling in logbook.
  • Report periodic servicing needs of the vehicle in advance to ensure its proper handling.
  • Handles clients and passengers with due care and respect.
  • Advise the supervisor when the vehicle licenses are due for renewal, appropriate inspections, insurance and registration;
  • Follow up and handle vehicle insurance renewals, vehicle inspection (bolo) and other Government requirements on time.
  • Collect & deliver documents from/to government offices, banks or any other location or premises needed for the company business.
  • Keep log sheet /log book and collecting daily schedules.
  • Report any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to the HR/Admin manager, nearby police and insurance company.
  • Cost conscious and focus on saving of fuel and keeping vehicle safety.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments, employees and other stakeholders;
  • Receive approved purchase requisitions, collects proforma invoices as per the directives thereon accompanied with assigned personnel, present the same for evaluation, and purchase approved items.
  • Present the approved purchase with the approved documents, draws money or cheque, and concludes the purchase.
  • Deliver purchased item to the store or other person authorized to receive item purchased and secures receipt for the delivery.
  • Returns leftover money to the cashier and settles account for the withdrawal made.
  • Keeps properly purchase files and related documents.
  • Perform any other duty assigned by immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • 10th  or 12th  grade complete, holding valid 3rd grade driving license with five (5) years relevant work experience.
  • Level II in Auto Mechanic or certificate in related fields and experience in purchasing. 
  • Clean driving record
  • Sound knowledge of car and road safety regulations
  • Working knowledge of local roads and routes
  • The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals

Knowledge skills, attitude & attributes:

  • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all level
  • Well-developed and proven communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English, Amharic and Afaan Oromoo
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
