Job Summery

• The Database Engineer is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the Bank’s information systems’ databases. The database engineer also provides technical expertise in the implementation, and maintenance of database management systems that support Dashen Bank’s business and banking applications

Job Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering or any other equivalent field.
• Professional ICT qualifications such as OCA,

Experience

• At least Six (6) years’ experience of advanced database administration experience with a large scale SQL Servers in multi-node clustered environments including replication and security

Required Technical Competency

• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
• Hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge and experience of relational databases
• Demonstrable experience and understanding of database management also data segmentation and interpretation
• Working knowledge of data modelling; database administration problems and requirements; and database analysis and design procedures, techniques, and implementation
• Thorough knowledge of industry standard database procedure, software development and data definition and data manipulation language and utilities.
• Thorough knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Normalization techniques; ability to manage multiple databases.
• Familiar with the new emerging technologies.
• Familiar with Database and Middleware performance analysis techniques.
