 ICOS and its sister companies are currently looking to hire marketing managers. Reporting to the deputy general manager, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the overall marketing activities of the company. Marketing manager responsibilities also include tracking and analyzing the performance of promotion campaigns, managing the marketing budget and staff, and ensuring that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity. The marketing manager is also responsible for building and maintaining a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.

Responsibilities and duties of the Marketing Manager

  •  Plan, implement and manage marketing strategy
  • Evaluate and optimize marketing and pricing strategies.
  • Research and analyze market trends and competition, and prepare forecasts.
  • Generate new business leads.
  • Increase brand awareness and market share.
  • Coordinate marketing strategies with the ICT, finance, operations and other departments.
  • Develop and managing the marketing department's budget.
  • Manage branding, advertising, and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to direct marketing strategy and planning.
  • Manage the production of all promotional materials and marketing campaigns.
  • Report marketing and sales results to senior executives
  • Track effectiveness of marketing campaigns and report findings to the executive team. 
  • Manage marketing budget and ensure that all marketing material is in line with our brand identity.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for company website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, service providers, customers, and others
  • Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly
  • Develop and implement annual marketing plan and strategy upon approval from executives
  • Use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions
  • Analyze company's marketing strategy and suggest improvements
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology and best practices relating to on-demand platform business and the specific services provided by the company.
  • Craft impactful go-to-market plans, including messaging, positioning, and PR strategies
  • Work with software engineers so as to improve services and application features
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Manage the marketing department's staff.
  • Carry out any other tasks normally required of a marketing manager and those others requested by General Manager/Dep. Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in marketing management or similar relevant fields with CGPA of 3.0 and above.
  • 3 or above years’ experience in marketing management, sales, promotion and so on.
  • Strong capability in doing market research
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong expertise with data analysis, and ability to draw insights from complex data
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills 
  • Solid understanding of how software is made and how it works
  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent reading, listening and writing skills in the English and Amharic languages is a requirement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
