Here under is a must, Duties and Responsibilities for the aforementioned position:-

• Under the direction of the project Manager, Conduct Comprehensive Geological and Geochemical Mapping and produce relevant standard Maps & sections
• Should be fit to carry out mineral exploration operation under rugged, rock hilly and mountainous terrain, sometimes “all fours” required
• Shall create and supervise teams for Sampling, Sample preparation and bagging as well as for other tasks as necessary.
• Record and Photograph all field observation (activities) to accompany explanations of geology, mineralization’s, structures and any other parameters of interest
• Ensure camping facilities are set up on site to create an appropriate working and living environment
• Ensure timely shipment of samples to analytical laboratories
• Collect, Register, dispatch; analyze and interpret geochemical samples lab results
• Ensure the BMET equipment, machinery, tools and materials are stored properly, operated in a safe and secure manner and utilized for the purpose assigned
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly activity reports to the project Manager
• Convert hardcopies of all field maps to electronic version by scanning and using appropriate GIS Software
• Perform all other duties related to or incidental to the tasks above
• Easily communicate with the local community of the area (Afan Oromo)

Job Requirement

• Education : MSc or BSc Degree in Geology
• Experience : 4/6 years direct work experience in the field (Base metals), at least 3 years in private mining company
• Additional Training: Expertise in GIS
• No: 2
