Job Description

Purpose of the job

The Control Room Supervisor (CRS) will work under the line management of the Country Security Manager. Duties include monitoring the CCTV, ensuring all site CCTV Cameras, and Vehicle tracking system are always operational and manned, fully tracking all motorbike movement, and sending out Security/safety Alerts via text messaging system. The CRS will also ensure liaising with the contractors for regular maintenance and services of CCTV cameras and GPS vehicle trackers.

Main duties & responsibilities

Tracking Vehicle monitoring Platforms that are all over Ethiopia. Generate reports according to BGI Safety standards.
Ensuring the swift movement of staff and vehicles around all the sites through the proper functioning of CCTV camera devices at all time
Ensuring proper Operation of GPS tracker, report generation, and undertake Investigation using the system.
Operate on minor maintenance and troubleshooting as directed by the service provider of CCTV camera system, and GPS vehicle tracker
Supervising and ensuring all BGI Control room and Server room systems are always working effectively.
Daily Reporting to country security manager stating CCTV operation situation on each shift and site
Ensuring the company SOPs of safety and security are followed by the Guards and staffs.
Planning the shifts, having briefings and implementation of discussed issues.
Investigate issues using CCTV cameras, (Geo Vision/ True Vision) and compile an effective report
Burning, protecting, exporting, and archiving video footage for security references.
Compile evidence for disciplinary panel and in Court of Law in matters related to Electronic evidence (e.g. CCTV footage and Vehicle tracking reports).
Train control room operators on CCTV operations, vehicle tracking system, report writing and other related topics that are in place according to BGI Safety and security standards.
Ensuring that staff, visitors, and contractors follow BGI safety standards by reporting cases against safety standard to promote on safe acts/Condition.
Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Country Security Manager

Job Requirements

Demonstrated experience of CCTV, Alarm, GPS, and Access Control systems
Information Technology user
Previous experience in Loss Prevention, Investigation, Compliance is an added advantage
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated strong training, coaching and mentoring skills
Experience within factory context, aviation, logistics or related environment

Expected Education and Experience

BSc Degree in Information Technology or related fields 3 to 4 years’ experience
