KNCV is an international center of expertise for TB control that promotes effective, efficient, innovative and sustainable tuberculosis control strategies in a national and international context.

KNCV is an international center of expertise for TB control that promotes effective, efficient, innovative and sustainable tuberculosis control strategies in a national and international context.

We are an organization of passionate TB professionals, including doctors, researchers, training experts, nurses and epidemiologists. We aim to stop the spread of the worldwide epidemic of TB and to prevent the further spread of drug-resistant TB. We operate from a central office in The Hague in the Netherlands, a regional office in Central Asia and country offices worldwide. KNCV raises funds from private, institutional, corporate, and government donors.

Position in the organization

The Administrative/Finance assistance will report functionally to the HR/ Finance manager. The Administrative/Finance assistance will work closely with HR & Finance team to support operation team.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Check and review 2021 finance document for audit trail
  • Review completeness of all documents for audit
  • Check if missed signature, supporting document and make ready for audit.
  • Check all documents are cancelled with PAID staff
  • Ensuring all documents are in place for 2021 statutory audit and project audit
  • Ensure all local agreement/MOU are in place
  • Compiling all statutory obligation payments like tax, pension documents and staff payroll payments are documented separately for audit purpose
  • Ensure staff timesheet are signed by all staff and documented well
  • Annual leave management
  • Follow-up pension ID from government pension office.
  • Update telephone directory
  • Update filing of temporary and fixed term contract employee.
  • Update bin card recording of all stock items and segregate to each project

What does KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation offer?

  • A full time (40 hours) short term contract for 7 months with the possibility of renewal
  • The consultancy fee is dependent upon education and relevant working experience

Job Requirement

  • BA Degree in Accounting and Finance or related fields;
  • Experience in handling
  • Experience working as a Administration/ cashier & store keeper especially, with NGO is preferred;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal English and Amharic, including business terminology
  • Can present guarantee
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of computer system, MS-Excel & MS-word
