Role description

Selected candidates shall be working as part of Network Operations Center to remotely monitor the network elements and escalate faults / alarms that they observe. The person shall be responsible to create a trouble ticket and send to relevant people responsible to rectify the faults / alarms observed. The person would keep a log of all Trouble Tickets issued and will take feedback from the field maintenance teams and then close the Trouble Ticket once the fault has been rectified. The selected candidates shall be assigned to various teams responsible for monitoring, radio, transmission, core and passive nodes in the telecom network.

The network needs 24x7 monitoring, so selected candidates shall be working in shift roaster and will get 2 days off in a week but the weekly off will be based on the rotational shift. Also the teams selected will work in morning, afternoon and night shifts and the shift will change every week.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required:-

• The candidates need to have basic understanding of a wireless telecom network infrastructure and its working.
• Understanding of telecommunication technologies and the working of various elements in any telecom network is essential
• Good working knowledge of Excel is also a primary requirement
• Previous experience for 1-3 years of working in alarm monitoring role / field maintenance role would be preferable but this is not a pre-requisite
• Good communication skills in English and Amharic
