Job Description

Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a National Civil Society Organization (CSO) aspires to see all marginalized children properly fostered. The organization has four major programme areas; Child Development, Gender and Life Skill Development; Skills and Entrepreneurship Development and and Lobby & advocacy . DEC works in three National Regional States of Amhara, Afar and Oromia and Addis Ababa City Administration. DEC would like to recruit on the following position: 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains the petty cash fund in a safe place separate from any other finances;
  • Disburses authorized payments from petty cash;
  • Records petty cash payments chronologically;
  • Ensures completeness petty cash payment and their supporting documents
  • Receives cash or check against cash receipt vouchers (CRVs) and immediately deposits to bank;
  • Prepares checks against approved payments requests;
  • Checks completeness of requests and supporting documents;
  • Submits check documents and related vouchers to Admin & Finance on a daily basis;
  • Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
  • Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels
