We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Manager - Brand Marketing & Communications within the Consumer Business Unit Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the EHOD - Brand Marketing & Communications, the role holder will be responsible for developing plans with and executing projects and initiatives that support the brand, brand experiences & sponsorships and product marketing communications.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Internal trafficking and coordination of brand activities in respective area.
  • Manage the development of all above the line and below the line media executions in conjunction with the agency.
  • Ensuring all project aspects as briefed are on track and on time.
  • Ensure that media is aligned to brand communication as well as overall strategy.
  • Weekly reporting on all activities for section.
  • Prepare advertising, communications, and promotions case studies for the internal network review.
  • Manage and update the intranet back up for all approved communication materials monthly
  • Innovation in Advertising, sponsorship and product marketing practice and programs.
  • Analysis of the industry and competitor issues as well as benchmarking in other industries to stay abreast of issues.
  • Discuss and agree on budget requirements at project listing.
  • Monitor and control budget to ensure that project is on budget and all prerequisite paperwork is in place.
  • Ensure pricing is as per agreed pricing with Safaricom Procurement for all work done.
  • Keep updated budgeting reports per project.

Job Requirements

  • BA degree in marketing, Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Marketing function with a focus on Brand Management, Brand Communication and Engagement &, Promotions
  • Strong creative and conceptual skills
  • Attention to detail with excellent
  • Interpersonal and Communications skills
  • An excellent planner and organizer
