Job Description

Bright Future Ethiopia Development and Charity Association (BFE) is a young local NGO Established in 2016(G.C) striving to expand while focusing on the unreached section of the community. Bright Future Ethiopia is looking for a competent and able Site Engineer that meets the requirements stated below.

Major roles and Responsibilities

  • Represent Bright future Ethiopia in various government, Non-Government workshops and meetings based on delegation from the Director
  • Responsible for the overall concept note preparation, proposal development, planning, implementation of BFE existing and new Projects (WASH, Education, CCESP, PIP, etc.)
  • Responsible to ensure that the project meets its defined objectives and achieve set targets.
  • Develop a yearly and monthly detail work plan with project staffs to implement the major activities of the BFE projects within a given due date, target and budget
  • Conduct regular field visits to verify quality /progress/ of all project component intervention provide technical guidance and advice for field staffs
  • Responsible for to lead all MEAL issues (Base line assessments, planning and executing and monitoring and evaluation of projects, etc.)
  • Planning and executing effective strategies with staffs for ensuring efficient and effective implementation of the projects within a given plan.
  • Ensure high quality and innovation in the livelihood and capacity building extension component of the project.
  • Train and educate the project staffs in about program/project cycles, proposal development, etc. to enhance their capacity
  • Develop linkages with relevant stakeholders, platforms, to increase the networking of the organization Insure beneficiary capacity building as part of livelihood intervention.
  • Ensure strong coordination with partners and other stakeholders on assessment, project /program/design, implementation and the implementation of projects.
  • Preparation of all kinds of reports for government, donors, and the directors according to government and donor standards

Open to: All Ethiopians

Number of position: 1(one)

Duration: Nine months (Fixed Tem Contract)- possibility of extension based on availability of funds. 

Duty station: Addis Ababa with frequent travel to the Existing and New project sites 

Job Requirements

Qualification Required

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Economics, Rural Development, Natural Resource Management, Agronomy or related fields with Minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience for Masters and 5 years’ relevant experience for Bachelor Degree.
  • Combination of these fields will be considered as an asset.
  • Fluent in Writing and speaking English
  • Ability to interact with people, Experience in livelihood development projects, Strong communication skill in English (written and oral)
  •  Relevant on job training is advantageous and Good skills in reporting and monitoring is mandatory
