Duties and Responsibilities:

As Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for managing internal and external communications including general visibility, public relations, social media and media outreach strategies as directed by the General Manager. This position will help communications efforts, developing and executing integrated strategies that engage media and excite consumers. You will partner closely with the executive team to promote thought leadership, play a key role in acquiring new subscribers and execute creative ideas in a highly-competitive industry. The role requires overseeing the execution of high-impact communications programs. The ideal candidate has strong media relationships across tech, business and consumer outlets, proficiency in social media strategy and execution, deep executive communications experience and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. Planning, managing, and designing content and production of short and medium advertisement and public relation audio visual materials.

Job Requirements

Essential minimum qualifications and capacities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Technologies, and related discipline or similar applicable field is required.
• 5 plus years of in-depth PR and communications experience. 3 plus years shall be on managerial level.
• Experience in technology, consumer and crisis PR; demonstrated ability to use creative thinking to develop PR opportunities, media stories, social media content, updating website and customer relation and messaging; experience using integrated social media tactics to supplement PR activities is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective professional relationships with executives, co-workers and external partners
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills local and international languages, including strong media relations skills; experience writing news releases, blog posts, pitches, speeches and other written materials; experience in creating and drafting engaging social media content
• Strict attention to detail and the ability to work in highly tight deadlines; solid organizational and project management skills; ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage projects autonomously
