We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Manager, CSO Business Strategy within the Strategy Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

Detailed Description

Reporting to the EHOD Strategy, the role holder will work closely with the leadership team to develop and understand medium/ long-term strategy as well as mission statement/measure of success/specified and implied task of each business line.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan & manage Strategy KPIs including annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasting and tracking of these KPIs
  • Gather & analyze data, formulate and test hypotheses, synthesize findings, develop go-forward plans, and help drive and translate recommendations into results
  • Conduct market research & market intelligence exercises, including market sizing and market assessment, industry deep dives, etc. 
  • Conduct business / revenue analysis (e.g. basic revenue models) for various business strategies/projects for STEP
  • Analyze New business opportunities for Digital Services and Super App strategy for STEP
  • Analyze business and financial data for potential business expansion or M&A opportunities
  • Analyze the Data strategy and requirements for Data platforms for various initiatives

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of work experience in management consulting and in-house strategy, and/or commercial strategy & operations 
  • Experience in building financial and business models, revenue models; conducting sensitivity analysis on new products/services
  • Experience in developing and testing frameworks, hypothesis and analysis to aid in business decision making
  • Exhibit sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills and a proven track record of taking ownership and influencing result
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management.
  • Some exposure to Data analytics tools/ platforms will be advantageous
