We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Property Technical Facilities Manager within Technology in Safaricom Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

 Detailed Description

 Reporting to the Managed Services & Infrastructure Programme Manager, the role Ensure optimal financial performance of Financial Administrative Teams, month end for Leases and Electricity Reporting. Cost saving is of utmost importance which will require you to implement systems and processes to support you in line with International Benchmarks. These systems will support you to automate all required processes. Manage the property lease renewal program and Tower Companies to ensure all lease renewals happen well in advance. It is important that you keep abreast of market activities relating to the Telecommunications Tower space. Liaising with all stakeholders in the property portfolio.

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building relationships with various departments (Network Deployment, Finance, Maintenance)
  • Implement measures to reduce rental and electricity costs
  • Improve the end to end processes in the leases and rentals domain.
  • Implement measures to ensure leases are negotiated well in advance and automated- touchless
  • Manage Tower Companies relationships as well as other large accounts from admin to strategy implementation
  • Review MLA agreements and negotiate with Tower Companies
  • Budget preparation and control (Opex and Capex)
  • Perform in detail cost analysis on MSC and BSC sites - Purchase vs rental
  • Provide accurate information and reporting
  • Bi Annual Finance Operations site reconciliations
  • Internal as well as external audit compliance
  • Effectively manage and improve the monthly Accruals process to ensure validity, accuracy and completeness thereof
  • Manage the lease management system team to ensure systems integration, automation and accuracy
  • Manage operational activities to deliver on the leases and rentals divisional targets
  • To formulate Business cases relevant to Project requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc Degree in Building Science; Civil Engineering, Town Planning, Property Management
  • Experience in project management and Contract law.
  • 8 Years relevant experience in operational Leases and rental and property domain
  • Proven track record in contract negotiations and cost saving
  • Experience in management reporting at all levels
  • Stakeholder management
  • Technical civil and electrical knowledge
