Currently, our business unit Dereja is undertaking projects in tackling the issue of youth unemployment. Dereja is a pioneer in establishing Career Center services in Higher Education Institutions, organizing regional and national job fairs and design and deliver employability skills training for fresh graduates. Thus, we are looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) officer who will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the projects undertaking by Dereja. 

Job Summary 

The Training Manager is responsible for Develop, Design and Delivery training program for IMS, Dereja Academy Accelerator program and training programs that will be implemented with other stakeholders.

Overall Training Strategy 

  • Oversee and develop tailor curriculum for Dereja Academy Accelerator program and support the Sr. Training Coordinator.
  • Oversee the Campaign and screening process for Dereja Academy Accelerator and ensuring logistics and planned activities are implemented.
  • Evaluating and Recruit potential Facilitator and co facilitator the Dereja Academy Accelerator.
  • Support the University and Candidate relation on Career Development center by providing training materials Ensure Dereja Academy Accelerator training program are running based on the project timeline.
  • Ensure Dereja Academy Accelerator program is well presented to Career Development center and university students.
  • Support the Training coordinator on ensuring the quality delivery of trainings, materials, manuals and other resources are based on the set standards.
  • Develop contents for Dereja.com website and monitor the materials published on the website.
  • Monitor overall programs for the Dereja Academy Accelerator and report the progress to Project Director.
  • Report the overall progress of the Dereja Academy Accelerator program to the Project Director.

Stakeholder Training

  • Build a relationship with the Stakeholders and any parties who are pursuing Dereja.com trainings.
  • Oversee the proposal from stakeholders and asses if it can be delivered by Dereja.
  • Support in planning the training programs for stakeholders and parties.
  • Understand the requirement and needs to the Stakeholder and third parties by using different method such as Training Analysis, evaluation etc
  • Ensuring quality trainings are delivered based the planned activities.
  • Oversee the development of materials such manuals and other education materials that will be used during the trainings.
  • Support in preparing the Training Report the Stakeholders after finalizing delivery of trainings.

Internal Training

  • Assess the current skills gap and training needs of IMS Staff through various assessment and discussing with their line managers and HR Department.
  • Develop plan for the IMS Training program and monitor the progress of the planned activities.
  • Approach training, education institute and qualified trainers that can provide training based on the industry and register employees.
  • Develop and submit the Training program budget to the Country Director
  • Ensure the training provided to the employees are aligned to the IMS Value and strategic goals.
  • Introduce new approach and methods for IMS and be updated on any changes in the industry.
  • In collaboration with the HR Department, provide Career plan and Improvement plan for the IMS Employees through analyzing of Performance Evaluation result of the staff.

Managing Team

  • Manage the Training Department Team comprising of the Sr. Training Coordinator, Training officer and Training assistance
  • Oversee the daily activities of the team and ensure quality and standards are enforced within the team.
  • Develop and set KPI with the HR Department and ensure the KPI are discussed with the employees.
  • Evaluate the performance of the subordinate with the HR Department and provide feedback to the employees on their performance.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and support to the team regarding content, manual and any materials published from the training department.

 Competencies

  • Demonstrated the skills to develop plan, design curriculum, manual and any materials for internal and external training program.
  • Understand the current industry of the organization and challenges on Youth Unemployment.
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholder, third parties, training and education institutes for training program.
  • Set standard for training delivered for Dereja Academy Accelerator and internal trainings.
  • Ability to coach and give feed back to the subordinate and ensure the subordinates
  • Excellent Network skill and ability to identify trainers that are competent to deliver training for Youth and IMS Staff
  • Possess skills in communicating with international, professional development and other stakeholders 

Job Requirements

  • BA Degree in Psychology Management, Economics or Social Science filed/ MA or MBA.
  • More than 5 years of experience as Training Manager.
  • Experience in designing and developing training program for Organization.
  • Experience in developing manual, education materials and other resources for Youth program.
  • Excellent English written and communication skill,
  • Previous experience managing and leading staff up to 3 subordinate.
  • Knowledge on traditional and modern training method and process and experience in tracking training
  • Previous experience working with Universities, international and local Non-government institute and professional institute.
