Our client in the construction materials manufacturing sector looking for a General Manager to join their team. If you have been working as a deputy general manager, senior manager, operation manager, or general manager in the manufacturing sector, has thorough experience in marketing and management, and has a sales drive then this job is for you.

Key responsibilities

• Build company image by collaborating with customers, distributors, applicators, government authorities, community organizations, and employees;
• Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities in the building industry, especially with new products and technologies;
• Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress;
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Establish trainings and workshops for clients and consumers to upgrade the technical understanding for new products and technologies
• Networking, generating referrals, advising and closing sales within small and medium enterprises and large corporate, identifying prospective clients, understanding their needs, providing advice, designing appropriate solutions, selling the right products, and providing a life-long partnership.
• Supervise production unit and make sure that a trouble-free production is assured
• Organize the procurement of locally sourced and imported raw materials including handling the whole forex and import-related topics.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the R&D team, especially the exchange with the R&D teams in the abroad and about the needs and demands from the local sales-team
• Represent the Company before the courts of law and Government, Nongovernment, public organizations, or any third party.
• Negotiate and enter into contracts in the name of the Company.
• Ensuring company's compliance with federal, state, regional, and local governing bodies and regulatory agencies.
• Prepares and set yearly sales targets of the company
• Prepare yearly budget of the company
• Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets assists in the development and implementation of business plans as required
• Development of a uniform and comprehensive HR Policy by the development of Human Resource Capacity Building and Performance Appraisal & Incentive Manual.
• To ensure the provision of adequate administration and support services to all functions and also to implement sound procurement practices that give the best value for money.

Job Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Management 
• 5+ years experience as General Manager or at least as senior deputy manager including decision-making authority
• Work experience in a manufacturing company, preferred from the building industry is preferred
• Overseas experience is a plus
• Good technical understanding
• Fluent in English
• Good communication skills
• Ideally having a good network concerning administrative and authority stakeholders
• Sales experience with clear success. 
• Training and experience on project management
• Financial management experience preferred as well as sourcing experience also from overseas.
• Hands-on mentality and eagerness to develop the existing business further
• Able to work in a team and to delegate tasks to the different departments
