LWF World Service Ethiopia is a registered foreign charity which has been operating in Ethiopia since 1973 implementing various development and humanitarian projects in different parts of Ethiopia. LWF World Service Ethiopia works closely with the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY), the Ethiopian Government, UN organizations and other funding partners. Its thematic areas include promotion of food security and sustainable livelihood, sustainable natural resources management, emergency preparedness, response and rehabilitation, and capacity building. LWF World Service Ethiopia invites qualified candidates to apply for the following vacant position:
Project Name: Lifesaving Food Assistance to conflict affected people in Ephrata Gidim Woreda and Ataye City Administration of North Shewa Zone in Amhara Region
Project Duration: up to July 29, 2022
Key Responsibilities
- Understand, implement and / or maintain standard OGB inventory management policies and procedures.
- Manage and document the receipt, handling, storage, release and reporting of goods through the OGB warehouse(s).
- Advise supervisor of potential inventory shortage.
- Manage casual labourers in the warehouse.
- Ensure the maintenance of warehouse building(s), fittings and equipment.
- Implement and ensure clear safety procedures.
- Implement and ensure clear loading / unloading procedures, correct stacking and turnover (FIFO) procedures.
- Advise the Logistics assistance /Logistics Officer of warehouse-specific issues or improvements
- Maintain the Warehouse activity book recording all outgoing and incoming receipts and activities.
- Give a daily report on fuel release and balance ,advice the next order level for purchase
Warehousing and Inventory
- Monitor security of storage and supplies.
- Receive completed store’s request forms and prepare the goods for issuance.
- Ensure goods, equipment are signed for received on the request form (office expendables) or waybill (all other items).
- Prepare a monthly report for the expendables store outlining all stock movements and remaining balances.
- On a monthly basis, work with the head office Property Administration Officer to reconcile the Warehouse register
- Update the stock record cards regularly.
- Conduct routine inventory inspection and submit report to the head office Property Administration Officer in a timely manner.
Expected Deliverables:
- Maintain full and accurate inventory records.
- Undertake (documented) monthly and ad-hoc physical inventory checks.
- Provide on-time, standard monthly reports to the head office Property Administration Officer
Job Requirements
Qualification
- Minimum of Diploma in Accounting, supply chain/Management or related field
- Physically mobile, able to lift 30kg without strain
- Knowledge of generic warehouse management systems and forms
- Competent in spoken and written English
- Good mathematical skills
- Competent use of PC especially spreadsheets (format/sort / filter)

Required Experience
Minimum of two years relevant work experience
Additional requirements
