Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan design and illustrations concept based on information and materials provided by the communications team and senior management;
• Illustrate concepts by designing a rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts in coordination with the team;
• Create images and designs that identify a product or convey the messages specified by the team;
• Produce drafts for review by the team and make revisions based on the feedback received;
• Design concepts and format materials in various media formats, including but not limited to social media and website content, infographics, reports, logos, signs, and information, education, communication (IEC) materials such as brochures, pamphlets and posters; and
• Coordinate production and timeline of print jobs to meet overall deadlines.

Job Requirements

Education: Degree in graphic design, marketing or related discipline

Experience: At least 3 years of comparable experience working on graphic design 

Skills and Competency: 

• Demonstrated creative graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Technical knowledge of visual composition and attention to detail
• Excellent IT skills and highly proficient in industry-leading software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills
• A high level of self-motivation and ability to work autonomously and creatively within a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English and Amharic required
• Ability to take initiative and work within tight deadlines
