The Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) was founded in 1970 through the initiative of the Norwegian and Swedish Save the Children organizations seconded by the Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. The Institute got its name from the Norwegian physician, Gerhard Henrik Armauer Hansen, who first described the leprosy bacillus (Mycobacterium leprae). AHRI is put under FMoH as a biomedical, clinical trial and epidemiology, and hub for skill transfer and knowledge transfer for postgraduate trainees from Ethiopia and beyond. AHRI is looking for a competent Project Manager under the MNTD Directorate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the Malaria and neglected tropical diseases directorate research projects activities
• Create and manage a conducive platform within and between partner of the directorate.
• Follow projects and other plan of the directorate as per the gantt chart and agreements.
• Work with PIs in project proposals development.
• Work in harmony with a team with a diverse array of background, talents and responsibilities.
• Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure projects goals are achieved.
• Follow implement of projects under the Malaria and neglected tropical diseases directorate and assure timely financial and technical reports
• Take in consultation with PIs, necessary steps to make communication with stakeholders easy and transparent regarding programs issues and decisions on services.
• Conduct any other responsibilities assigned by the directorate director.

Job Requirements

• Master's degree in Project Management or related field AND 8 years of experience.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in various capacities, including proven experience in projects management.
• Proven experience managing a team
• Experience using computers and various applications for a variety of tasks
• Proven stakeholder management skills
• Competency in software applications including project management software
