Women Empowerment-Action (WE-Action) is civil society organization working in SNNPR, ANRS and Oromia Regions of Ethiopia to the improvement of the social, economic, and physical well-being of the poor women.

Currently, WE-Action is seeking to hire competent, qualified and interested candidate for the Position of Organizational Development and Human Resource Manager

General Duties and responsibilities

  • Organizational Development and HR Management: - Understand organizational development and HR development design and implementation.
  • Strategic Management: - Understand the formulation and implementation of goals and initiatives for organization benefits.
  • Stakeholders Management: - Establish System and matrices for effective stakeholders.
  • Staff Management: - Establish and sustain a culture that devices open mindedness and positive relationship among staff whilst motivating core staff for retention.
  • Behave Ethically: - Understand ethical behaver and organizational practice, and ensure that own behavior and the behaver of other is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization. Demonstrate strong personality and integrity.
  • Build Relationships: - Establish and maintain positive working relationship with others, both partners and sponsors: command a professional image.
  • Communicate effectively: - Speak listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner including by phone with several stakeholders; articulate the organizational mission, program objectives with relevant stakeholders.
  • Creativity/innovation: - Develop new and unique ways to improve operations of the organizations and to create new opportunities.
  • Foster Team Work: - Work cooperatively and efficiently with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead: - Positively influence others to achieve resalts that are in the best interest of the organization.
  • Make Decisions: - Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risk, and make clear decision which are timely and in the best interest of the organization; proactively take actions necessary to produce resalts and able to work independently/ with little guidance.
  • Organize: - Set priority, develop a work schedule and monitor the progress towards goals and, track details, data, information and activates.
  • Plan: - Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals create and implement actions plans and evaluate the process and resalts.
  • Solve problems- Assess problem situations to identify causes gather and process relevant information generate possible solutions and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
  • Strong strategic analytical, and project management skills: - Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for adverse number of activities and to complete them in timely manner; deadline driven, and able to manage multiple projects and engagements simultaneously.
  • Reporting Skills: - Quality and timely report development, strong attestation to detail and editing skills.
  • Self- Management: - is self-directed, eager to meet and exceed objectives, and excited to take on more responsibility.
  • Gender Sensitive: - Understands gender equality and demonstrate gender sensitive and responsive behaviors, ability to manage culturally sensitive and differences and respond appropriately.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification and Experience

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Public Relations etc with at least 4 years work experience for MA and 8 year experience for BA.
  • Good interpersonal and human resource management practices
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Good skill in Organizational Development

Career Level : Senior level years’ experience
