Position: Chief engineering officer
Key roles and responsibilities
- Strategically plan and manage the department’s overall activities
- Supervise, coach and train the department’s workforce
- Oversee civil and electromechanical engineering projects
- Oversee the detailed planning and effective implementation of projects
- Develop comprehensive plan for maintenance and repair that is responsive to the business needs of the company
- Build the necessary team for an efficient repair, maintenance and management of company’s automotive resources, buildings and other assets
- Lead the preparation of TOR, bid documents, work order and related documents for any outsourced engineering works of the company
- Lead the evaluation of technical documents
- Develop SOPs for the department’s activities
- Supervise the company’s outsourced Projects to ensure outcomes, timing, budget and other associated objectives are met in accordance with best practices
Terms and benefits
Permanent upon successful completion of probation period
Salary: 17,633 birr
Benefits: health coverage, car, monthly fuel allowance of 200 liters, monthly housing allowance of 7,000 birr

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electromechanical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or relevant fields
- A minimum of 10 years’ work experience, 3+ year experience leading or supervising a team
- Sound knowledge of asset management, design and planning processes
- Proven analytical, problem solving, multitasking and organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven project management ability
