Position: Chief Human Resource Officer

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Set objectives and strategies for the HR department to support achievement of overall business objectives
  • Develop and execute human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the company
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics

Terms and Benefits

Permanent upon successful completion of probation period

Salary: 17,633 birr

Benefits: health coverage, car, fuel allowance of 200 liters, housing allowance of 7,000 birr

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resource administration, management, or related fields
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in human resource management of which 3+ years in a leadership position
  • Proven experience as chief human resource manager or similar managerial role
  • Demonstrated human resource management skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
