 Job summery

Functions / Key Results Expected

Work in close collaboration with the Head of Bahirdar sub-office in providing a range of Office and Administrative support to the overall running of the sub-office, as follows:

  • Arrangement of travel and hotel reservations
  • In collaboration of Admin Addis, support staff members and their dependents by processing requests for visas, identity cards, and other documents in accordance with requirements of the United Nations and national government.
  • Provide administrative support to organization of conferences, workshops, etc.
  • Preparation of routine correspondence, faxes, memoranda and reports in accordance with CO SOP.
  • Extracting, inputting, copying and filing data from various sources.
  • Assist in arranging for recruitment of positions of the office
  • Maintenance of files in Administrative Unit
  • Assist in maintenance of leave and attendance records of the office
  • Collect information on assets management, maintenance of records and files on assets management.
  • Follow up on administrative matters of the office with other units of the office and other UN Agencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the office

Job Requirement

  • Education: Secondary education is required or University Degree in Business, Public Administration or any other related fields is desirable but not a requirement
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience with Secondary Education and 3 years of progressively responsible and relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages
  • Knowledge and experience with document management systems
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English and language of the duty station is required
