Internal/External Vacancy Announcement

Humedica e.V is German based International NGO registered in Ethiopia in February 2010. Currently, it is looking for a qualified FSP Project Coordinator for its Sponsorship and Community Development (FSP) Projects that are currently found under implementation in Ethiopia and potentially will be emerged in the future.

Job Summary:

The FSP Project Coordinator provides technical and strategic support to the project, working with the Project Managers and other team members to achieve projects’ success. He/she is responsible for the overall FSP project management in Ethiopia-Setting quality standards for all FSP projects, M&E, follow up for project activities implementation, networking with like-minded organizations, and make sure policy and code of conduct of the organization are undertaking as per the expectation of the country office. 

Basic Functions

  •  Initiate, lead and undertake project need assessment and prepare new project proposals/concept notes
  • Support, supervise and follow up on FSP regular project reports, comment, take correction actions to improve the qualities of the reports
  • Search, identify, approach, and start networking with resource full institutes to use as local resource and maximize FSP projects’ result
  • Prepare and share FSP program Quality standards for all FSP project sites
  • Show ways, strategize and draft best fit project implementation systems to empowerment target families, collect(lead initiatives to assess target beneficiary need, recommend for appropriate support, record changes and prepare success stories for learning)
  • Identify capacity gaps of FSP staff, analyze it, plan and provide capacity building training for FSP staff
  • Conduct continuous monitoring, follow up and supportive supervision field visits to all FSP projects
  •  Ensure preparation of implementation planning, timely execution, input and output monitoring and supervision/follow up of project activities as planned and policy and code of conduct of the organization
  • Ensure that safety and security of the target beneficiaries are kept as per the data protection management and code of conduct of humedica
  • Report ad hoc reports to the country office
  • Perform other duties when assigned by immediate supervisor

Reports to: Program Manager

Place of Work: Addis Ababa, humedica e,V Ethiopia Country office.

Term of Employment: Contract for one year with possibility of extension based on performance

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  •  Qualification: BA/MA degree in Sociology, Economics, Business Management, Management or any other related social science field of study
  • Required Experience: a minimum of Seven years’ experience (Experience in development and humanitarian organization or INGO/NGO is desirable), experience on livelihood and economic empowerment, education, health, and community development related
  • Language skills: Very good English speaking and writing skill
  • Other Skills: very good report writing(result based management), ability to use research software for analysis( a combination or one of these software: SPSS, STATA, SAS, R, Power BI), need identification/assessment and project proposal/concept papers/ preparation, communication skill, empathy and patience
  • Interpersonal Skills requirements: Ability to work harmoniously with the team.
