Purpose of the job 

Manage all activities on bottling. Follow up overhall bottling production. Manage the packaging process, applying the Company’s Rules, Standards & Procedures. Monitor process and product parameters, ensuring respect of specifications. Maintain a good and healthy work environment in the section. 

Main duties & responsibilities 

  • Manage the packaging process, applying the Company’s Rules, Standards & Procedures
  • Monitor process and product parameters, ensuring respect of specifications
  • Actively collaborate with the Quality Department in order to interpret results (also making use of statistic tools) and use them as a leverage for improvement
  • Monitor and reduce down times whenever possible
  • Monitor and reduces extract losses whenever possible, collaborating with production stuff
  • Ensure sampling plan is applied by packaging operators
  • Ensures checking of the process control sheet for shift leaders, mechanics, electrician’s, operators
  • Ensure plant is operated according to the suppliers’ instructions and manuals
  • Ensure plant is effectively maintained and planned maintenance is applied
  • Prepare recovery plans, if necessary
  • Manage modifications of process control and installation, ensuring respective manuals is updated.
  • Ensure and facilitate implementation of Company systems
  • Ensures production is going according to the forecast.
  • Ensures that ordering the necessary raw material needed for weekly production.
  • Ensure collaborating with technique department to ask the man power during maintaince date.
  • Minimizing the down time and maximizing the efficiency of the line
  • Minimizing the overtime
  • Follow up of the work done by all other staffs in bottling
  • Ensure plant operation is carried out respecting safety rules and regulations
  • Proactively manage safety of contractors together with the Engineers and colleagues from Technical Department
  • Make sure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standards in the Packaging Department
  • Contribute to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy

Job Requirements

  • Ability to read drawings and procedures high standard materials with minimal supervision
  • Good competence skill in particular pack Office , AUTO CAD ,
  • Have the ability to work under pressure when required
  • Abilty to anticipate and rapid decision making
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Sound judgement informed by extensive practical knowledge and experience
  • Able to handle conflict and resolve differences of opinion

Expected Experience

  • Bachelor degrees 8 to 10 years experience

Linguistic skills 

  • Amharic: fluent and English: C1
