We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Business Manager within the External Affairs & Regulatory Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description

Reporting to Chief of External Affairs & Regulatory, the role holder will be responsible for managing the Chief’s office and to coordinate, collaborate, and work with the EA&R function, the Programme Management Office, the business managers of other executive committee members and their respective functions, to achieve the delivery of the Objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Chief agenda management

  • ensure delivery of the objectives.
  • Coordinate calendar for key internal (including Shareholder, Executive Committee and Governance, EA&R Function) and external meetings and fora, prioritizing matters to ensure delivery of the Objectives.

EA&R coordination and Support

  • Working with the Chief and the EA&R function to coordinate development, execution and implementation of strategy and action plan to achieve Objectives.
  • Work closely with EA&R function, Programme Management Office, Executive Committee business managers and other functions to to ensure alignment on the development, execution, and implementation of the EA&R strategy and action plan to ensure delivery of objectives
  • Work closely with Chief and the Chairperson of the Company’s Social Contract Task-force to develop, execute, and implement the Social Contract plan to contribute to the Objectives.
  • As agreed with the Chief, lead/coordinate/work on key EA&R and company programmes and projects to achieve Objectives.
  • Provide support in the preparation of key external and internal reports, meetings, events and forums attended by the Chief. Includes required reports, presentations, talking points, speeches and other information required. .
  • Work with Programme Management office to ensure progress against Objectives, reporting, tracking, and measurement against company, EA&R, Social Contract, Environment Social Impact, and other key performance indicators and targets.

Committees, forums and work groups

  • Represent and participate in key internal and external meetings related to EA&R, in order to keep updated on any relevant developments, opportunities or risks to ensure achievement of Objectives.
  • To provide continuous feedback to the Chief of EA&R , highlighting any areas that require his/her direct intervention, and EA&R function.

Job Requirements

Qualification 

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Project Management certification Prince II or PMP and / or Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt.
  • Have 5 - 7 years’ work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management and/or commercial function
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Requires strong experience in business and solution development, project/program management, and project delivery in a technology space.
  • Experience developing complex, multi-year project plans to meet business objectives within budget
  • Very Strong understanding of the system development life cycle
  • Very Strong understanding of the project management and testing life cycle
  • Ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
  • Proven experience in risk management and change management
  • Proficient in project management software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present to all levels of the organization including EXCO
  • Solid understanding of project management methodology to identify and communicate issues, risks and dependencies across a large-scale program
  • Experience using automated project management governance tools
