We are looking for an editor-in-chief to be responsible for leading the editorial team, managing the production of content for different publications, determining content strategy, reviewing content, contributing to editorial pieces, and managing day-to-day operations. To be successful in the position, you should demonstrate good writing skill, possess good judgment, and attention to detail, demonstrate creativity, and be able to work well with a team.

Editor-in-Chief Responsibilities

• Oversee the production of content for publications
• Reviewing content, such as articles and photographs, developing strategies and style guidelines
• Editing articles for accuracy, grammar, and style.
• Evaluating content and making decisions on appropriateness for the publication.
• Approving the publication's layout, design, style, and tone
• Work closely with the team to develop editorial boards for upcoming publications, issues, and campaigns
• Make final decisions about which stories, articles and photographs to publish
• Ensuring all copies have proper voice, context, balance and clarity and are in line with the editorial strategy
• Ensuring all information in articles and stories has been properly fact checked
• Provide suggestions for edits when needed
• Acting as a representative for the publication at events.
• Developing junior writers.
• Developing the success of the publication.

Job Requirements

• Degree in journalism, communications, or related fields
• At least 2 years of experience as an Editor-in-Chief
• Solid experience in leading editorial teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong leader who possesses exceptional writing and research skills
• Organized and with high attention to detail
