Job Description
Purpose of the position:
The community mobilizer will work closely in collaboration with Health Extension Workers (HEWs) and Animal health assistance to conduct and facilitate trainings, support Integrated Women Development Groups (IWDGs) in defaulter tracing, and strengthen EPI services. The Community mobilizer will establish and maintain close working relationship with communities and community organizations. S/he will ensure that all activities related to Public Health Emergency Management and EPI implementation in the targeted woredas are coordinated and harmonized. Additionally, the responsibility of the Community mobilizer will be to implement Community Based Disease Surveillance (CBDS) and New Borne Tracking (NBT) activities. S/he will strengthen the link between IWDGs, HEWs and Animal health assistances by Mentoring and supervising IWDGs.
Major Responsibilities:
Qualifications Required: Diploma in Public Health, clinical Nursing and related field, CBDS and NBT, IIP and cold chain management trained, Motor bike driving licensed.
Work Experience: at least 5 years in curative and public health promotion, and infection prevention and control.
Technical Skills and Abilities
Computer literate and Usage of internet
