Medecins du Monde (MDM) – France is an independent humanitarian non-governmental organization (INGO) that has been working in Ethiopia since 1986 and has been officially registered by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia's Authority for Civil Society Organizations (ACSOs) with registration number 0987, in accordance with Civil Society Organizations' (CSOs') proclamation number 1113/2019.

Objective:

MDM is inviting qualified audit firms with prior experience auditing international non-governmental organizations in the humanitarian sector to audit its books of accounts and financial statements for the financial year ended December 31, 2021.

Audit firms shall submit their technical and financial proposals sealed in an envelope to the address shown below within ten (10) working days of the date this advertisement is posted on this WEBSITE

Expected Service:

• Appoints qualified personnel to carry out the audit at MDM's Addis Ababa office.
• Conduct the audits in accordance with international auditing standards and the requirements of the Authority for Civil Society Organizations.
• Conducts the audit and completes it within the timeframe set out in the engagement letter.
• Prepares an audit report and a management letter for the financial year ended December 31, 2021.

• Explanatory statement on methods implemented and evidence of previous experience completing audits for INGOs who use SAGA or comparable accounting software to keep track of their finances.
• Business Registration Certificate
• Renewed Certificate of Business License for year 2014 EC
• VAT registration certificate
• Taxpayer Identification Number
• Renewed certificate of registration from Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia AABE for year 2014 EC

Note: MDM has the right to revoke this call at any moment and re-advertise if the response from audit firms is not adequate. MDM will send an official email to the winning audit firm and sign an agreement that might be extended for the following two years.
