The beverage green field project is located in Oromia Regional State in West Shewa Zone, nearest to Ginchi town while the project office is located at Elilly International Hotel new building, 10th floor, Kazanchis, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The company will engage in producing quality alcoholic & non- alcoholic beverages brands which inspire human beings in the first phase and also have 2nd phase expansion plan to produce carbonated water, Juices and other portfolios. Hence, Kegna Beverages S.C. would like to invite competent and qualified candidates to apply for the following positions to be hired on permanent basis: 

Position Summary: The Project Accountant will handle activities related to bank and shareholders data management including communicating with shareholders, liaise with banks, collect shareholders deposits, update shareholders records, reconcile bank deposits and support project finance department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting transactions and support the project senior accountant.
  • Collect bank deposit slips and update on financial record and shareholders data.
  • Communicate and remind shareholders for share related payments.
  • Reconcile and update shareholders data
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely bank deposits are updated on the record.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations of Kegna Beverages S.C.
  • Conduct budget control for proper utilization budget allocated for each department
  • Collect monthly Bank statements from banks for reconciliation
  • Prepare and submit periodical liquidity and fund management report of each department to the finance Manager.
  • Make adjustment to record transaction that have not been previously recorded once the trial balance completed and balanced,
  • Produce Fixed assets ledger from the System or manual ledger, make comparison with actual physical Inventory sheet, Prepare Reconciliation & make adjusting entry if any
  • Produce trial balance from the system or manual ledger and produce balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement
  • Prepare accruals, adjusting entry and closing entries
  • Facilitates the ground for auditors and makes the accounts of Kegna office audited by internal and external auditors.
  • This list is not exhaustive and hence may be subject to revision based on the needs of the employer.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Immediate Supervisor

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience Required

  • BA Degree in Accounting and any related fields.
  • 3 years and above related experience;
  • Experience in shareholder management especially in beverages industry or bank or share companies is advantageous.
  • Excellent understanding of processes work flow
  • Good ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with care
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate a lot with shareholders via phone or physically
  • Fluency in English, Afaan Oromoo & Amharic is required
