Position Title: Talent Acquisition Partner

Department/Program: HR and Operations

Level: D1

Reports to: Manager, HR

Direct Reports: HR Intern- Recruitment

Based in: Addis Ababa 

Duration of contract: Indefinite based on performance and availability of funds

Remuneration: As per organization pay scale plus other PSI/Ethiopia staff benefits.

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner who will deliver our talent acquisition strategy to ensure a proactive approach to talent acquisition that truly reflects our purpose, principles, and values and that fully supports diversity and inclusion. Working closely with key stakeholders, from hiring managers to external networks, the Acquisition Partner will provide an engaging and inclusive recruitment and selection process that delivers talent and capability in line with agreed organization needs and provides the best candidate experience.

Key Result Areas:

  • HR service delivery (e.g., consistency, quality, speed)
  • Talent management (e.g., career development, learning, and development, etc.)
  • Gender policy (e.g. implement the gender policy in recruitment and selection) 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement HR strategy, policies, procedures, processes, and programs across the organization.
  • Partner with the department managers in designing recruitment strategy and implement in consolation with hiring managers.
  • Managing PSI/Ethiopia’s career page to promote the benefits of working at PSI/Ethiopia, both offered benefits and working environment
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Ensuring job adverts effectively reach a diverse pool of talented candidates.
  • Delivering creative search and selection methodologies to create an inclusive recruitment process.
  • Building proactive and effective talent and candidate pipelines to ensure there is a sustainable source of candidates to achieve recruitment numbers and organization goals.
  • Building effective relationships with hiring managers and providing a consultative approach to talent acquisition.
  • Owning the talent acquisition process and asana tracking tools to ensure the delivery of a robust and effective recruitment process.
  • Screen candidates' resumes and job applications in line with the PSI/E Gender policy.
  • Directly sourcing candidates through various channels, including online and social media.
  • Working with Procurement to establish and maintain a Preferred Supplier List of approved recruitment agencies to supplement direct sourcing methods.
  • Developing and administering the assessment process including psychometrics, aptitude tests, and other relevant tools.
  • Check candidates' references according to child safeguarding policy. 
  • Managing the offer of employment, reference checks, documentation, and ensuring successful candidates are engaged and excited about joining PSI/Ethiopia.
  • Ensuring all aspects of the talent acquisition process are compliant with Ethiopian legislation.
  • Developing people acquisition metrics and implementing measures to drive improvements.
  • Coaching hiring managers and HR colleagues on interviewing and candidate assessment techniques to enable effective selection processes.
  • Reviewing and developing the current recruitment and selection process to ensure a fit-for-purpose process that reflects PSI/Ethiopia.
  • Effectively managing candidates to ensure engagement throughout the whole process and deliver a  positive experience, gathering candidate feedback about our process

Job Requirements

Background

  • Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Management or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management or related fields with eight (8) years of demonstrated experience

What would get us excited?

  • Hands-on experience with various selection processes.
  • Proficient in MS office applications and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in English and Amharic languages, both written and verbal communication
