We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for EHOD M-PESA (Mobile Money) Commercial in within in Digital Financial Services Function in Ethiopia. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

 Detailed Description

Reporting to the Chief Digital Financial Services Officer, the EHOD M-PESA (Mobile Money) Commercial will champion the overall Mobile financial services strategy - conceptualize, design, build, deploy and manage mobile financial services suite of products to meet the current and future needs of the customer. The holder of the role will oversee the M-PESA Commercial team as well as collaborate closely with all divisions and business units within the organization to ensure that M-PESA products and services meet all the set KPIS as well as delight our customers

Job Responsibilities

  •  Lead the planning, implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of mobile financial services for the company
  • Evaluate market potential and formulate performance indicators and help define go to market strategy for all products and services
  • Champion Financial Inclusion through developing relevant product and services to allow accessible and affordable financial access in the market.
  • Foster innovation and develop strategic business partnerships to drive the financial inclusion agenda
  • Work in partnership with Financial Services institutions including Banks, Insurance, Investments, MFIs, Pension Schemes, and Fund Managers among others to drive financial inclusion.
  • Work in partnership with key strategic partners across all business pillars including Payments, Retail, Sector based (e.g. Health and Agriculture) etc. to drive strategic partnerships around different business areas.
  • Responsible for initiating, negotiating terms, and maintaining the comprehensive partnerships and contractual agreement process
  • Lead in the identification of new areas of Business in addition to process improvements
  • Monitor and interpret trends that occur within the industry. Evaluate market size, competitor accomplishments and make recommendations to assist the business to achieve the set goals
  • Mentor and develop a high performing team of product managers and while partnering closely with technology, project managers and all other divisions and business units.
  • Prospect and recruit potential corporate organizations as M-PESA Financial services strategic partners.
  • Customer Insight and proactive anticipation of customer needs - both individual and corporate
  • Align the revenue indicators and reporting tools to the Financial Services Revenue targets.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation templates for revenue performance management in the market.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful business reporting to ensure the achievement of annual performance targets through end-to-end performance management.

Job Requirements

  •  The ideal candidate for this role must have experience in managing a broad portfolio of Mobile banking or Mobile Money products/solutions the entire lifecycle; with demonstrated leadership in new product development and deployment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer science, Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years post-graduation work experience of which 6 years must be in product Management, Sales, product development or Business development
