Job Purpose 

The accounting assistant will manage the finances of the project that will be implemented in Ethiopia office under the leadership and supervision of the senior finance officer, project Head and Country Head, Ethiopia. They will functionally report to them and seek direction from them.

Duties and responsibilities

• Verifies that invoice information matches both the purchase order and the goods receipt
• Follow up client payment collection and supplier payment
• Posts the invoices in the ERP
• Liaises with Warehouses, Commercial department, and suppliers to resolve any variances and issues
• Liaises with Account payable department to make sure no variances with suppliers’ accounts.
• Tracking PO’s and follow up pending payments
• Performs tasks including but not limited to preparing supporting documentation and posting entries, updates, and maintains ERP system, maintains financial information, files, and documents thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Reviews data for deficiencies or errors, corrects any deviation, and checks output.

IMSROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reports any hazards or risks in addition to accidents/incident to QHSE department.
• Be aware of and complies to I engineering’s IMS Policy.
• Abides by I engineering’s local legal and client requirements.
• Attends and engages in IMS awareness sessions.
• Ensures that all IMS procedures are regularly followed and raises the issue when they are not.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

• 2 Years of relative work experience.
• Experience with project finance handling
• Familiarity with administrative duties
• Experience using office equipment, like fax machine and scanner.
• Attention to detail
• Experience with MS Office and data programs
• Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting and finance or Business Administration
