The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is an international cooperation enterprise supporting the German Government in achieving its development-policy objectives. It works in bilateral cooperation on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and on commission of the Ethiopian government and international donors.

The Civil Peace Service (CPS) programme operates in many regions around the world. In Ethiopia, CPS takes a systemic approach to conflict transformation working with governmental and non-governmental partners in different areas of Oromia.

A.    Responsibilities

• Provides reliable and safe driving services to CPS staff.
• Purchase of good and services for the office.
• Keep records on fuel consumption of all CPS cars.
• Follow up on insurance processes and annual inspection for all CPS cars.
• Follow up on maintenance of all CPS cars
• Responsibility for programme assets and recording inventory onsite.
• Delivery of letters, messages and payments
• Follow upon safety of CPS office equipment and CPS office cars.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• 3^rd degree driving license
• First aid knowledge desirable

Professional experience

• Defensive driving
• 3 years’ experience

Other knowledge, additional competencies

• Good command of English obligatory
• An asset would be knowledge of Sidama and Oromo languages
