Summary of Duties

The Common Services Program is responsible for the effective and efficient management and operations of the mission through the provision of high quality common services to the Government of Canada’s international network of missions. This position reports to the Management Consular Officer (MCO) and is responsible for providing contracting services including procurement of goods or services and financial services.

Area of selection/Eligibility

Job Requirement

Essential Qualifications: Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, experience and language. Candidates must clearly demonstrate in their cover letter and CV how they meet each of these essential qualifications.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e. business administration) from a recognized university

Language:

  • Fluency in English (oral and written)
  • Fluency in Amharic (oral and written)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in procurement and contracting
  • Experience working with Ethiopian suppliers and service providers
  • Experience in client service; liaising and working with clients (internal or external), in an office environment

Salary: 712,866 ETB per annum

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
