MEPO Contracting & Management Services PLC is a member Company of MIDROC INVESTMENT GROUP and was established in December 2008 by the renowned investor Sheik Mohammed H. Ali Al-Amoudi. The company has been engaged in the supply of construction materials, rental of construction equipment & construction of buildings.

We invite qualified applicants for the following vacant position:

Summary of Duty & Responsibility:

The Internal Auditor must be proficient at examining and analyzing financial and operational records of the company to determine the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the systems of internal control, including the quality of ongoing operations and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and board policies/procedures. Additionally, the Internal Auditor performs follow-up on the status of outstanding internal audit issues and advocates internal control and corporate governance concepts throughout the organization.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
  • Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans
  • Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc
  • Prepare and present reports that reflect audit’s results and document the process
  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Maintain open communication with management
  • Document process and prepare audit findings memorandum
  • Requires strong understanding of accounting principles, control procedures and audit techniques
  • Requires a fundamental understanding of Audit Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IPPF) and the Code of Ethics.
  • Requires the ability to work collaboratively with team members across multiple divisions and departments.
  • Requires commitment to excellence and continual improvement.

Job Requirements

Required Qualification and Experiences:

  • BA Degree in Accounting & Finance.  
  • Four years and above experience as an Internal Auditor.
  • Training in Peachtree & IFRS.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.

Key Skills:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Sound independent judgment
  • Should be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
