Purpose:

• Under supervision of the immediate supervisor, drives trucks ,observe safety standards, and traffic rules strictly ,handles the truck properly according to enterprise rules and procedures .

Main Areas of Responsibility:

• Drives trucks adhering to traffic rules and ensures safe driving all the time.
• Transports goods and tobacco leaves from place to place as instructed.
• Checks oil ,fuel ,water levels ,tires etc and ascertain that every thing is in order prior to operating the truck
• Ascertain that truck is functioning properly while driving and reports immediately to the supervisor any malfunctioning, breakdown or accidents. In case of accidents take measures according to company policy and procedures.
• Submit daily reports on Kilometers travelled ,fuel consumed ,travel destinations as per the instructions given
• Keeps custody of local tools and accessories necessary for changing tires or making minor defects
• Performs other related tasks as required.

Job Requirements

Education:

• 4th grade driving license and 12 grade complete.

Work experience:

• At least 4 years proven work experience in driving.
