Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Group Logistics Manager, the Group Transport Manager is responsible for all transport management for the Group. He/ She leads plans and provide transport solutions to deliver customers’ orders across all companies of the Group. Identifies risks, issues and opportunities and deploys innovative solutions and techniques in response to improve Logistics deliveries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the Group Customer service to have the daily customer delivery needs by company.
Maintain for each plant a daily trucks availability ready for loading including the various destinations.
Avail different trucks capacity requirements on daily bases to each factory and decide appropriate truck type for requested transport service
Make sure the truck arrived is in good condition and the driver is with valid driving license to provide the required transport service and also make sure drivers load orders as per customer order in full
Make sure the driver take over all supportive documents like delivery Order, credit or cash sales invoice along with the goods loaded.
Make sure trucks are loaded properly at full capacity with only 54 FMCG companies products.
Initiate and implement checklist of documentation to follow each delivery.
Follow-up timely arrival of trucks to customer warehouse and ensure POD signed by customers.
Initiate payment request for transporters for the service they provided with all supportive documents.
Make sure timely collection of proof of deliveries (POD) from transporters and have proper filling system.
Track daily transport service provided for each company and report daily transport service provided to each factory location.
Champions a 'customer first’ approach. Understands and appreciates customer requirements and quality standards.
Engage with internal and external customers to meet and exceed customer expectations
Oversees cost control and customer service performance KPIs,
Actively seeking to improve orders deliveries efficiency, reduce transport cost.
Follow-up timely and initiate renewal of different transport contract agreements.
Works closely with the warehouse & customer service team and other key stakeholders to ensure that all logistics solutions are fully integrated and designed to improve customer service
Maintain database of multiple transport providers and look for cost efficient way of delivering customer orders.
Crate good working relationship with transport providers.
Integration of SHE and Quality terms in all transports contracts in order to ensure integrity of stocks during transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS: -
BA/BSc in Logistics Management, Transport management, or any other related Supply Chain management field.
Experience: -
6+years’ experience in Transport and Logistics Management in the FMCG sector.
Good knowledge of the Ethiopian transport regulations.
Demonstrated skills on Microsoft office applications.
