Job Description

CST Ethiopia represents the overseas development and humanitarian agencies of the Catholic Church from England and Wales (CAFOD), Scotland (SCIAF), and Ireland (Trócaire) in Ethiopia. The three agencies have over 40 years’ of experience in international development and humanitarian response and are each members of worldwide networks, including Caritas Internationalis. Currently, the three agencies jointly operate a single, integrated country programme in Ethiopia through the legal entity CST Ethiopia.

CST Ethiopia is implementing a 2017-21 country strategic plan focused on two programmes – Women’s Empowerment and Resilient Communities, which integrates sustainable livelihoods, humanitarian and other (e.g. peacebuilding) programming.

CST Ethiopia is securing fund from EC for the protection project in Tigray and would like to recruit a Procurement officer for this project. The position holder is required to coordinate all perform the procurement of project supplies and capital assets, support implementing partners in the supply chain management.

Job Requirements

Essential Requirements

Qualification

  • Minimum of diploma in logistics or purchasing and supply management
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a logistician with an INGO
  • Computing/office technology, contract management and negotiating skills.
  • Familiarity with humanitarian logistics and Ethiopian Logs cluster ways of working
  • Good organization capacity, rigor, team spirit, flexibility, and good command of English language

Person Specification – Desirable

Qualification

  • Accredited Certificate in supply chain management
  • 4W vehicle driving skill with valid driving license
  • Teamwork spirit and flexibility in stressed environment
