Position: Head of Human Resources and Organizational Development
Reports to: The Country Director
Duty base: Addis Ababa with occasional travel to fields
Required: one
Duration: Two years with possibility of extension
Job Summary:
Head of HROD is responsible to lead the organization’s HROD function including the development of HROD strategy, systems and processes that addresses the strategic needs of the organization. She/he is responsible for the implementation of HROD practices and processes that will provide high performance, culture and the acquisition and ongoing development of effective workforce and systems; as well as for the development and implementation of programs to align HROD processes and key business initiatives through use of organizational effectiveness. The role holder also manages the procurement unit, staff security, safeguarding matters and serves as a Security as well as safeguarding Focal person for the country programme. As a member of ActionAid Ethiopia’s Senior Management team, the position holder also provides and supports overall organizational leadership including risk management.
