Job Description
- Develop sourcing and procurement plan.
- Formulate sourcing and procurement budgets and submit recommendations for the approval of fund requests.
- Determine the costs associated with delivering procurement objectives and activities.
- Analyze sourcing and procurement budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
- Conduct procurement related cost analysis, fiscal allocation, and budget preparation.
- Compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to procure the needed resources, inputs and assets.
- Review procurement budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs.
- Perform cost-benefit analysis, review financial requests or explore alternative procurement methods.
- Verify proposed departmental budgets and consolidate into one overall budget.
- Sense check to establish whether requested budget is valid and within normal market escalation scenarios and proper budgeting governance frameworks.
- Obtain approval for requested budget at executive level.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure integrated and aligned operational intent from a budgeting point of view.
- Communicate, present and justify forecasted budget to senior management.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding budget requests.
- Perform budget forecasting analysis and translate into relevant budgets.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or related fields with four (4) years of experience in procurement planning/ procurement/ purchasing or related functions.
