Job Description

Scope of Role

  • Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Product Development Coordinator provides day-to-day management of the new product development workstreams from ideation and business plans through to market entry.
  • Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Product Development

  • Responsible for overall project management of the NPD workstreams by creating and managing the project plan, schedules and budgets by working closely with all departments, vendors and consultants.
  • Coordinates the development of business plans for new products, including conducting desk and market research to identify market gaps and opportunities, as well as stakeholder management throughout entire project lifecycle.
  • Coordinates the work of internal and external beverage chemists and other technical regarding product formulation, lab setup, required lab equipment, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), shelf-life testing etc.
  • Coordinates and aligns with the Commercial Department to design, implement, and manage the overall look and feel of consumer and outlet engagement tactics, venue setup, team recruitment & training, merchandising etc.
  • Assists with the design and implementation of product development research methodology including segmentation, sample size, survey tool, data collection methods, analysis and reports.
  • Under the guidance of the CSO, leads the drafting of all reports related to product development, including SOPs, lessons learned, product decision matrices, business plans, and strategies.

Strategy

  • Assists with the researching, sizing, testing and analyzing to identify short and long-term opportunities for Komari
  • Assists with the cross-firm communications of strategy workstreams
  • Assists with other Strategy Department and market research tasks as needed
  • Stays abreast of beverage product trends

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience Required

  • BA or BSC in any Field of study
  • A proven track record of immaculate verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders, including coordinating with technical experts in the beverage sector.
  • Experience working on multiple aspects of the beverage formulation process, including both lab and strategic planning work.
  • Openness to feedback and ideas to ensure that the best ideas can come from anywhere.
  • Extremely detail oriented and demonstrated experience managing vendor capabilities, recipes, timeline, budget and limitations.
  • A good understanding of strategic risk management.
  • A flexible and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Patience It is up to the PD manager to decide and structure when to include other departments and when to rely on her/his department.
  • Superb Microsoft Word and email communications, with good abilities in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, i.e. ability to engage and lead a discussion with senior business executives within Komari.
  • Results-focused achiever with high sense of ownership.
  • Ability to work independently; can prioritize and adjust tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
