Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation Learning Officer

Progynist, a Women-focused local CSO, is looking for: The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer who will be responsible for:

• Assisting technical officers in the Monitoring, Evaluation, and learning aspect of their respective programmes and build the capacity of field staff in effective use of the data management tools and reporting templates.
• Developing and implementing a robust monitoring and evaluation system that will ensure tracking of project/ programme results at different levels (outputs, outcomes and impact).
• Working with programme officer and managers to ensure the collection of relevant and appropriate data needed for an effective MEL system. Follow up monitoring strengths, weaknesses and gaps in existing projects/ programs and services for reporting.
• Ensuring all grants have updated work-plan and performance management plan in tandem with all approved proposals, regularly reviewing and updating as needed
• Ensuring that cross cutting issues such as participation, gender, age and disability are effectively addressed/ mainstreamed in all project implementations.
• Ensuring that relevant evidence (success stories) for learning from projects are documented by the focal officers
• Assisting to Share learning and provide constructive comments to colleagues in order to ensure programme quality
• Ensuring Sex, Age, Disability Disaggregated Data , Accountability and Gender standards are consistently adhered in programme delivery
• Enabling staff to monitor and evaluate their own efforts, gather relevant data and produce required progress reports.
•  Develop the overall framework, for project M&E, for example mid-term project review, impact assessment, final evaluation, on project Performance and document the gaps and send the feedback on time to all concerned.

Reporting to: Executive Director

Job Requirements

Educational & work experience Required: 

• BA/MA in Economics, Sociology, English, or other related Social sciences field, some training in M&E

Experience:

• A minimum of 4 years for BA and 2 years for MA, in M&E,
• Working in NGO environment is desirable
