ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Ethiopia Private Sector Development Programme (PSDE), aims to create conditions for improving private sector productivity and competitiveness. The higher level objective is to improve the economic policy framework and the employment and income situation in the Ethiopian private sector, especially for owners and employees of micro, small and medium-sized t which is under enterprises (MSMEs), in terms of sustainable economic development.

Main objective of the PSDE is to strengthen the Public Institutions to improve the policy and institutional framework condition in favor of the private sector for a conductive business environment.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A university degree (master’s or equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration, Private Sector Development, Organizational Development, Finance or similar and a working proficiency in English.

EXPERIENCE

General professional experience

• 10 years of professional experience in the field of private sector development, MSME promotion and on start-up / innovation promotion.

Specific professional experience

• 8 years of professional experience in introducing change management in institutions and experience in business process re-engineering, organizational development, of which 4 years at government institutions.
• Experience in the field of business environment, reform (including strategy development and implementation and improved public service delivery), In the field of digitalization (public) services and institutions’ internal processes and in designing / advisory on multi-stakeholder platforms and work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa and in East Africa countries in Development Cooperation projects are most preferable.
