Detailed Description

Reporting to the Executive Head, Indirect Sales, and working closely with Retail Experience team, the role holder will be responsible for Sales and Support of all business customers in Safaricom Retail Centers.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for Developing the capacity Retail Experience Executives to handle Enterprise Customers, Developing Processes and Procedures that will give enterprise customers superior experience in Safaricom Retail shops as well to improving retail in business channel performance and standards.

 Job Responsibilities·      

  • Develop and implement Policies & Procedures that will increase efficiency and optimization of the Sales & Retention of Enterprise customers in Safaricom Retail Shops.
  • Support the Enterprise Retail Experience Executives in Enterprise customer acquisition and retention in Safaricom Retail Shops
  • Monthly and Quarterly Enterprise Sales performance monitoring in Safaricom Retail Shops and feedback to ensure timely remedial measures are taken in line with the set guidelines.
  • Foster, grow, and maintain strong relationships with Retail Experience team and Retail shops to retain and grow Enterprise customer superior experience
  • Work with the retail team to ensure enterprise customers’ needs are considered in the shop rollout plans
  • Ensure all Safaricom Retail Shops have the systems and capacity to handle Enterprise Customers in the shops
  • Facilitate regular Training and Capacity Buildings of all Retail Staff on Enterprise Products and Services, as well as processes and procedures.
  • Continuously monitor revenue, product uptake and support incidents to identify areas of risk and/or concern.
  • Actively act as the key interface between the Enterprises customers and all relevant work units in the assigned area.
  • Ensures negotiation and implementation of sales agreements with Enterprise customers in accordance with company policies, procedures and business ethics codes. 
  • Ensure the maintenance of up-to-date records of all Enterprise customer interactions in the appropriate systems

Job Requirements

  • Degree in a Business-related field.
  • Post graduate certification in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • 4-6 years experience in leading sales teams in a Retail, B2B environment 
  • Team player, strong influence and relationship management
  • Ability to engage and influence at all levels of management, internally and externally.
  • Has worked in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and must have good problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed presentation skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (articulate) coupled with good listening and critical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to create and develop efficient processes.
  • Project management skills
